Welcome to my first Yasashii Tamagotchi log which happens to be my first hatch of a Yasashii ever. I recently purchased the Blue Yasashii shell (see below) on Yahoo Japan, and boy it cost a lot! The Yasashii are so rare so I know many people don't have experience with this tama. I'm looking forward to logging my first experience ever with the Yasashii, sharing my adventure with you :)
I was thinking of a name of my first Yasashii, and I promptly decided with Andres! The name is inspired by a singer I've been listening to lately named Andres. He sings alt-rock, punk-rock-type songs which are reminiscent of Fall Out Boy. I discovered him because he's performing at a concert I'm going to headlined by Strawberry Girls. I've been a fan of them for a while, but I didn't know who Andres was. So I checked his music out and found that I enjoyed it! So long-story-short, that's why I decided to name my little tama Andres. So with that, let's begin...!
NOTE: I'll describe each button with a number listed below, going 1-6 from left-to-right, top-to-bottom.
4:51PM: Ahhhhh, today is the day!!! A week after finally acquiring my first and only Yasashii Tamagotchi, I decided to run it. I purchased the blue shell off Buyee for about $490, and it's by far the rarest Tamagotchi I own, aside from the Devilgotchi.
I have no experience with these, and I haven't read much about them. This is my first experience going in blind! I hear they are super easy, hence the name "Yasashii" (easy in Japanese). Hopefully, it will be easy to care for while I'm working :) Work has been so busy lately, so this may be a nice change of pace.
I love the little kickstand on the back as well, because now I can have him playing on my desk while I work :P Anyway, let's get started!
I officially started the hatch at 4:50PM today. I finished up a long, and busy, day of work. I work from home, so I spent all day in my office working at my desk. My cat, Sushi, kept me company throughout the day. Running the Yasashii was on my mind all day, so once I finished work I figured I might as well start it :P

You set the time initially by pressing the left "select" button at the bottom. Its cute little egg is pulsating on the screen right now. I enjoy the design of the pixel egg, it's a lot bigger than the normal P1/P2, so it's easier to see.
I also really enjoy the shell, it's by far my favorite. I love the blue color contrasting with the yellow, and the little cloud with a rainbow sticker is so adorable.

4:55PM: WOAH!!! All of the sudden, each row of buttons started lighting up in a left-to-right sequential order while beeping. The egg started shaking, and POP! Little Andres popped out :) He's a little blob that oddly switches between black/white. He hops around the screen, it's pretty cute haha. The top-left button (looks like the meal button) is flashing. He likely needs some food now. According to the Wiki his name is ChikachikaBabytchi. The Wiki also says:
"Because it is a newborn, ChikachikaBabytchi is not fully aware of its surroundings; on the Yasashii, it has no idea it is living on The Earth instead of the Tamagotchi Planet. It seems to love handmade noodles." - Source
"The name comes from the English word "Baby" and the Japanese phrase "chikachika" (チカチカ), which can mean flickering or sparkling." - Source
4:59PM: I started feeding him meals (#1). What's interesting is that he changes color when eating as well, it's bizarre. Anyway, I won't judge my little Andres. After feeding him, I selected a game (#2) and played it. It seems like his game is essentially a guessing game where you select a chest that has the item matching the one visible in the top left of the screen. (I don't know if I described that well lol). It seems like they are various food items, and when you match he's happy. I won the first game and filled a single happy heart. I fed him treats the rest of the way out of laziness.
Now that he's full, I'm going to leave him be for a while as I play on my computer and work on this website. I should have plenty of free time for the rest of the day! Ta-ta for now.
5:30PM: Uh oh, Andres made his first poop! I cleaned it up with (#4) and checked his hunger/happiness (#6). He had 0/4 hunger and 1/4 happiness, so I fed him his meals, played 2 games, and fed him one snack. It appears that snacks do not increase the babies' weight, so I think it's safe to feed him the snacks instead of the game for now :P
6:00PM: All of a sudden, Andres started beeping and his meal button (#1) started flashing red. I take it that means he's hungry. Looks like he's 0/4 hungry and 0/4 happy. I fed him meals and snacks and now he's all full. I wonder when he'll change into a child. It might be like the normal P1/P2 and change after an hour, but we will see. If that's the case, he should have changed around 5:55PM but didn't. Hmm. I guess we will see. I'll also track when he goes to bed as well.
6:38PM: Brittany just arrived home from work a few minutes ago. I gave her a big hug, a few kisses, and I started dinner. We are making Chicken Kiev and rice, yum! Brittany is eager to play Genshin Impact tonight, and I am too. I'm currently working on gathering all the Geoculus' in the Liyue region, though I'm pretty far away. Little Andres was completely hungry and unhappy, so I cared for him. Honestly, he seems pretty needy, maybe slightly less than the normal P1/P2 baby. Doesn't seem too "easy" for now.

6:52PM:
Andres is growing!!! He started beeping like crazy, and the normal changing screen occurred where it pixelated into a black screen,
revealing the cute, adorable, blushy-cheeked Hoppetchi. If I tracked it right, it looks like Andres took 2 hours
to grow from hatch to child, so not too bad. According to the Tamagotchi Wiki,
"Hoppetchi is a delicate child that prefers to live in cold environments, which is why its cheeks are always rosy. In warm environments, it tends to have hot flashes. It likes to say 'iya~n' (いや～ん)." - Source
7:00PM: So I discovered when Hoppetchi's go to sleep; it's at exactly 7:00PM. I believe that's an hour earlier than the normal P1/P2 which is usually 8:00PM, so that's an interesting difference. I turned his light off with a single toggle of button (#5), and he's off to bed. I'm going to leave him on my desk for the rest of the night :) I'm not entirely sure when I'll wake up in the morning, but I want to see when he wakes up as well. Nevertheless, good night everyone.
10:05AM: I woke up a little late today because I had a long week, I wanted to sleep in. I let out Anubis (our dog) to go potty, then ran into my office to check on Andres. It looks like he has been awake for a few hours because he is starving and sad :( I played some games, and it's a bit harder than I thought. It reminds me somewhat of the Oceangotchi game in terms of difficulty, but without the annoying squid. Nevertheless, I finally filled his happiness meter and fed him meals. I'll keep an eye out on him for now. As for what I'm doing today, I haven't decided. It's Saturday so I have all day free. I may play some games, do some chores, etc. We shall see.
10:37AM: Andres made his first call for attention! The care button (#3) lit up and he beeped. I clicked the button and he seemed happy about it, hopping up and down and smiling. It looks like the attention filled his discipline meter by 2 bars, so that's an interesting difference compared to other vintage models. He will require a LOT more care to fill the entire bar.
12:42PM: I decided to redo my Tamagotchi wall. I had my Osutchi & Mesutchi, Genjintchi, Oceangotchi, and Yasashii sitting on my desk because I had to make room on my wall.
I also started working on some Perler bead art to add to my Tamagotchi wall as well :) I'm making the main "mascot" character for each vintage model I own and have played. I'm working on the Yasashii, and Osutchi & Mesutchi. I need to finish the P1 but I might not today. Anyway, Andres is currently 3/4 hunger and 3/4 happiness, 13lbs, and 2 years old. He's so young, and still is a little needy. I enjoy having him on my desk as I work :P
1:45PM: I finished ironing the Perler beads and setting up my wall! Here it is:
I'll change the layout the more I add to my collection, but for now, I like it. I'm going to be taking up the whole wall soon enough lol. I've been caring for Andres as I go, so he's taken care of. Brittany (my GF) is playing Genshin Impact with her friends while I'm working on things. It's a fairly relaxing Saturday, to say the least.
3:45PM: I fed Andres a quick meal and he started lifting weights! I read that they perform little activities every once in a while, so I guess this was one of those events. Super cute, look how strong he is!

5:33PM: I went to the gym for a workout, that's the second one this week. I also stopped to buy some Fireball Whiskey for Brittany & me tonight, should be a fun time hehe. Andres was starving and sad, with 0/4 hearts in each. I took care of him, cleaned up a poopoo, and left him be for a while as I went out to pick up some Domino's pizza. I want to leave him on my desk to avoid any damage, grease, or anything else ruining the shell. It's my most expensive tama, you know!
6:43PM: It's near his 7:00PM bedtime, so I filled his hunger and happiness with some meals and snacks. His current stats are: 4/4 hunger, 4/4 happiness, 2 bars discipline, 23 lbs, 2 years old. I suspect he will grow into a teenager in a day or two hopefully :) After he goes to bed, Brittany & I are going to open up that bottle of Fireball and have a good night.
7:00PM: It's bedtime for little Andres. I turned out the lights (#5) and put him to bed. I may bring him to stay on my nightstand throughout the night so I can see when he wakes up.
8:05AM: Last night was wild. Brittany and I drank a little too much lol. I hadn't been that out of it in a few years, and Brittany fell asleep. I woke up at 8:00AM to see how Andres was doing. It wasn't too great.
0/4 hunger, 0/4 happiness, sick, crying AND had poop. He was not in a good condition... Since I left him in good care before he went to sleep last night, I can safely assume he woke up at 7:00AM this morning for him to have lost so many hearts. I felt guilty :x I have been letting his meters drop a lot... Quite frankly, the Yasashii hasn't felt "easy" at all. It seems like he's constantly losing hearts, just a little faster than the P1/P2. In some cases, faster than the Oceangotchi! Andres is probably going to grow into a poor-health teenager and that makes me a little sad :( After caring for him, I went back to sleep for a bit with Brittany.
9:45AM: My alarms woke me up again and I checked up on Andres. Again, he's already at 0/4 hunger and 1/4 happiness. Sheesh, I feel so bad for how I'm caring for him! Papa got a little too drunk and slept in too late :( I noticed his weight was at 35lbs as well, which is heavy for a child. I started playing games to fill his happiness and lose weight. At some point, I didn't care if I won or lost the game because he would lose 1lb per game anyway. I currently got him down to 23lbs, but the goal is a healthy 15. For now, Brittany & I both woke up and we're getting ready for the day. I'm going to keep him on my desk as I work on my computer.
12:35PM: So what was going to be a lazy Sunday is turning into a more busy Sunday :P I'm going to run to Guitar Center to play piano for a little bit while Brittany stays home. Afterward, I'll run to the store and pick up some groceries before I come home. I might be out a few hours this afternoon, so I'm putting Andres on pause. I don't want to not care for him today, but I also don't want to bring out such a delicate, rare, and expensive Tamagotchi in the public; I'm just risking damaging it or losing it. So for now, I'll keep him paused and unpause him once I return.
4:49PM: I'm officially back from my errands, I unpaused Andres. Let's see how he is for the rest of the night.
6:01PM: Andres started bathing it looks like. He beeped and when I looked at him he was in a little tub, smiling. I think he was taking a bath, or sitting in a toilet haha. I selected the toilet button (#4) and he stopped.
7:00PM: Andres just fell asleep. His current stats are: 3/4 hunger, 3/4 happiness, 4 discipline bars, 3 years old, 24lbs.

7:00AM: I had to start work at 6:30AM today, so this gave me a good chance to finally see what time Andres wakes up. On the dot, he woke up at 7:00AM confirming my theory. So the child stage is always 7AM-7PM sleep time. For some reason, he was 0/4 hunger though. I 100% know I left him at 3/4 hunger last night, so maybe the Yasashii automatically goes to 0 hunger upon waking up? Hmm... I'm not sure. I'll have to test again.
7:45AM: I looked over and noticed Andres was sick. I healed him 2 or 3 times until he was fine. Usually, sickness is an early sign that they are about to grow, so I'm expecting him to grow into a teenager today :)!
12:28PM: It's been a really busy morning... tons of new things coming up at work. I've been caring for Andres off and on, not much has happened regarding him. I'm a little concerned because I'm wanting him to change, it's been 3 days already! I know pausing him yesterday pushed his growth back a few hours, but I hope it didn't set it back until tomorrow.
I'm about to head to lunch, I'm going to grab Whataburger hehehe. I'll leave Andres at home, I don't want to damage him. I'll make sure he's cared for before I leave.

1:14PM:
So I came back to be pleasantly surprised by the new, grown-up, Andres! He's a cute little teen now, with
huge eyebrows instead of his little blush marks. According to the wiki, he is a Mayumarutchi.
He really is cute. The wiki says this about his personality:
"Mayumarutchi is loud and pompous. It is very proud of its big eyebrows, and even requests special shampoo to keep them clean." - Source
Reminds me a bit of Lee from Naruto hahaha. Anyway, he's super cute. I can't wait to learn more about him such as his bedtimes, and see what adult he grows into. I'm looking forward to it :)
5:27PM: Today's been really... busy. I've had a lot thrown at me for work, ranging from technical issues with our Instant Messenger, making communication more cumbersome, to lots of trade items to process, and lots of trade rejects to deal with this morning. It's been rough. I've kept Andres full and happy as best as I can. He's just chilling pretty much :P I may watch some shows with him and Brittany later.
8:00PM: I napped or a little bit before returning to my office. Poor little Andres, he was 0/4 hunger and 1/4 happiness. I played a few games, fed him some snacks & meals, and prepared him for bed. He promptly fell asleep at 8:00PM. I'm going to safely assume he will wake up at 8. I need to be at work at 8 so good thing I'll be able to check :P I'm a little unhappy I got the "poor health" teen, but I also understand why. I've let Andres go hungry and unhappy several times and probably missed care for him while I've been away. I honestly thought the Yasashii would be a bit easier than this. Oh well. Tomorrow is a new day.
8:00AM: AHA! I caught him, finally! So I correctly assumed that the teen stage wake up time is 8:00AM. Then, as soon as he wakes up, his hunger hearts empty to 0. I'm not sure why, but they do. His meal button (#1) started flashing and he beeped as soon as he woke up. I fed him all 4 meals and he seemed happy. He's currently 37lbs right now, I need to spend some of today helping him lose weight.
8:11AM: Andres started beeping for attention, his meal button (#1) flashing. I pressed the care button (#3) and he got angry, but the buttons stopped flashing. It looks like he gained 2 bars of discipline. Moreover, it appears that when he grew into a teenager it reset his discipline just like the P1/P2.
10:55AM: I just spent some time helping him lose weight. I spammed through some games with Andres since he loses weight whether he wins or loses. He's now a healthy 20lbs!
11:59PM: Not much else happened today. Brittany came home and we chilled out. We got Panda Express; my fortune was "Your future looks bright." I sure hope so, I could use some optimism right now. Other than that, I worked on my website, Brittany played Genshin Impact since the new 2.1 update (with Raiden Shogun) came out. Overall a chill night.
I turned out Andres' lights at 8:00PM. He had a poop with him, unfortunately. His current stats are:

He's doing okay I guess. He's probably going to grow into an adult either late tomorrow or early Thursday, and I can't wait! I have a specific character in mind, but I have no idea how to get him. I've avoided looking at any guides/tips thus far for a fresh experience. Perhaps then next run I will look up some guides :P
11:42PM: I didn't log anything for today since nothing happened. It was a bit of a bland workday, but I was busy with it. I worked out after work, Brittany and I watched a movie (Shadow, a Chinese Drama). Andres was fairly normal today, he got sick once and needed his normal meals/games. Today was really easy, hence the name Yasashii. It seemed tougher in its younger years, but as a teenager, it's a lot easier to care for. Anyway, I'll post more tomorrow since he's very likely to change into an adult.
8:50AM: Andres just got sick. That's a good sign that he will grow soon! I can't wait :D He also called for attention at some point, with his happy button (#2) flashing. I pressed the care button (#3) thinking that would help, but it only made him mad and I don't think it filled any discipline :( I'm not sure what he wanted.
2:10PM: After coming back home from my lunch break, I discovered Andres grew into an adult.. and a cute one at that! He grew into... drum rolls, please.... Ginjirotchi Jr.!

He's so cute!!!! He looks just like normal Ginjirotchi, except he has a different personality.
According to the Yasashii Wiki,
"Jr. Ginjirotchi resembles Ginjirotchi, except it's smaller and its colors are lighter. Jr. Ginjirotchi is quick to make long-lasting friendships, but can be a freeloader. " - Source
Supposedly his name comes from the words "Ginjiro" (ぎんじろ) meaning "good silver", and "Otōto" (弟) meaning "younger brother". - Source
You get Ginjirotchi Jr. by raising Mayumarutchi with good care. That seems about right, I didn't care too well for him, but I was not the perfect caretaker either. A lot of that was due to the Yasashii losing all 4 hearts of hunger upon waking. It's a bizarre feature that I want to test out on future runs. I also think I'll set the time to fit my schedule more, as I tend to go to bed late and sleep in late. The occasional days where I sleep in a few hours after he wakes up causes a lot of the care mistakes, so that's something to work out. Next time, I really want to get Pantarotchi :) He's my favorite.
5:00PM: I took basic care of Andres throughout the remainder of the day. This entire week has been busy at work, so I haven't had a lot of time to pay attention to him. Though he really is easy to care for past the baby and child stage, so it wasn't too bad :P I think I struggled with caring for him in the mornings and meeting the discipline calls the most. Currently, he is at 8 bars discipline, so just over halfway. Perhaps he'd have turned into Pantarotchi if I had disciplined him more. The world may never know.
8:00PM: Little Andres went to sleep! I suspect Ginjirotchi Jr. sleeps at 8PM and wakes up at 8AM, but I will have to see tomorrow. I wake up early (6:30AM) for work, so I'll be able to check.
8:00AM: As I guessed last night, he woke up at 8AM today. Per usual, his hunger meter emptied. Perhaps that's supposed to mimic the hunger we experience for breakfast? That makes the most sense to me since he technically fasted for the last 12 hours. Hungry boy lol. I fed him breakfast and began my work. Today looks like a busy day... lots of things to process for work. It may be rough.
8:15AM: He called for discipline, so I disciplined him. His current stats are: 9 yrs old, 34 lbs, 4/4 hunger, 3/4 happiness, 10/14 discipline bars
12:57PM: Time to eat lunch!!! I'm hanging out in my office, eating lunch, and listening to a podcast during my lunch. Andres has been good today, easy to care for. I sent pictures of him to my friends and they think he's cute :D and they love the light-up buttons.
4:15PM: I cared for Andres to make sure he's all filled up. I'm going to work on the yard for a bit, we have a lot of weeds that I need to pull, and a wasp nest starting. I'm going to pull all the weeds Animal Crossing style ;) I'll check in later.
7:21PM: Brittany came home after a stressful day at work. I finished pulling the weeds in the lawn, sprayed the wasp nest, took care of some other house chores, and just hung out with Andres. I brought him on the ride with me to grab some take-out, I took some pictures hehe. After I returned home, I heard him beep while eating. I finished eating and checked up to see that he was sick! I healed him. He does this cute little animation where he wraps himself in a blanket, it's so adorable.

8:00PM: Andres fell asleep, so I tucked him in bed, turned the lights out, and wished him good night. He's resting on my office desk right now as I'm watching anime. It's a relaxing Friday night :)
I slept in laaaate today. I stayed up till 2AM while Brittany slept. I finally woke up at 12PM today naturally. I don't normally get a lot of sleep especially during the busy work weeks, so it was nice being able to rest for the day. Sadly, this meant Andres wasn't being cared for :(
I checked on Andres after noon and saw that he was 0/4 hunger, 0/4 happy, and had pooped. I'm pretty worried for him because I don't want him to leave prematurely. I fed him all his meals, played a few games, cleaned his poop, and now he is all set. I'm going to continue working on my website throughout the day, maybe workout, and do some house chores. I want it to be a fairly relaxed day.
8:15PM: I left Andres alone for most of the day. I cared for a him a few times, but honestly I slept for most of the daylight. I had a lot of sleep to catch up on. I checked on him now and turned the lights off, his stats are currently:

11:20AM: When I woke up, Andres was 0/4 on hunger and happy so I filled him up. I might pause him today because Brittany and I are going to meet with her mom for lunch out of town (about 45 minutes away). I don't want to bring Andres with me and risk damaging the shell, so I'm going to pause him until I return.
11:48AM: Andres just called for attention again. I disciplined him and officially filled his discipline meter! The meter has 14 bars in total. The bars aren't evenly divided on the screen so it bothers my OCD xD Nevertheless, I'm happy I had the chance to fill his meter all the way.
12:17PM: I paused him now, heading out for lunch soon.
7:23PM: Today was a long day. We finished eating lunch, came back home, and both Brittany & I napped for a couple of hours. For some reason we have been resting a lot. I unpaused Andres just now, so that leaves him another 30 or so minutes before he sleeps. He seems calm and cared for so I don't expect anything new tonight.
8:00PM: Tucked in bed, lights out, good night!
10:30AM: Brittany and I woke up today around 10ish. Thankfully it's Labor Day, so we both have off from work. We plan on going to IHOP this morning for some yummy breakfast.
Andres seems good, he was 0/4 hunger so he needed some breakfast too. I fed him and played a few games before Brittany and I left. I wonder how old Andres will be, I'm going to keep him around for as long as I can :)
12:35PM: Andres got sick, I hope that's not a sign he will be leaving soon. I cured him immediately.
3:20PM: I'm about to workout at the Gym. I made sure Andres is fully fed before I go. Quick update on his stats:

8:00PM: Andres just fell asleep so I turned out the lights. Brittany and I started baking some Lemon bars and Tres Leches cake while watching some movies. I worked on building my Empire State Building lego I received for my birthday during the movie and completed the second section of it. I'm super proud! Here's to another day, Andres. Love having you around buddy :)
8:00AM: Andres is awake bright and early with me for work. I gave him breakfast (4 meals) and he's off to a good start.
11:44AM: Out of curiosity, I wanted to see what food types are available (to Ginjirotchi Jr. at least).

In order to find out the snacks, I had to feed him quite a bit. He's a little chunky now LOL. I started playing games to get his weight down. His base weight is 30lbs. I'm glad I ran through these stats really fast :P
12:08PM: Sadly, Andres' time has come... He started to beep so loud and fast it startled me. I checked on his screen and he was crying. After about 15-20 seconds he finally stopped, hopped into a UFO ship, and flew away, leaving a remaining egg for the next hatch.
A menu popped up with 4 hearts that alternate from black to white and some Japanese lettering. When I select the Stats button (#6), it shows a picture of Andres doing some animations like being happy, spinning, and sleeping. It also showed how old he was (13 yrs old) when he left.
I'm truly sad that Andres left. I had such a fun experience running my first Yasashii Tamagotchi and exploring how it works. I'm so grateful for the adventure we had together and how he kept me company during my long workdays. He's been a good friend to have around.
Simply, I enjoyed the Yasashii Tamagotchi. It surely lived up to its name being the "easy" Tamagotchi. The baby and child stages were a little difficult, but after that the care was easy. I could leave it alone for a couple of hours with no problem. I knew what to expect each day and there was comfort in knowing it wouldn't die if I left it alone for 3 hours.
Compared to the P1/P2, it had some unique features that stood out. The cute little animations like working out, bathing, begging for food, etc, were all adorable and added to the experience. The hunger bar dropped to 0 every morning to simulate the fasting overnight, and encouraged a "breakfast" feature; I was pleasantly surprised about this but also disappointed when I slept in late and couldn't feed it on time. I truly enjoyed the light-up buttons and the tactile feel of playing it, as well as being able to use the kickstand to prop it up on my desk; it's a wonderful desk virtual pet.
Regarding the aesthetic, I adore the shell designs, especially on the blue shell. The stickers are adorable, the color is a beautiful blue contrasted to the yellow trim and red light-up buttons. The buttons have cute little icons on them, however, I was worried about pressing them too much as to rub off the icons.
Overall it has a beautiful aesthetic. I sometimes disliked how big it is because I cannot safely bring it out in public. It's more of a desk virtual pet than something you carry around on a keychain. Moreover, I didn't want to risk damaging it by moving it around a lot due to its rarity and high price tag. I put a lot of care into how I handled it by leaving it on my desk, avoided touching it with dirty/greasy hands, and being gentle. Perhaps I should be as gentle to it as it is with me :P
Anyway, I'm not sure if I will run the Yasashii immediately. I may take a break or two while I finish my 3rd generation of Osutchi & Mesutchi (see my 3rd Osu/Mesu log for Cotton & Candy).
